Endodontic Treatment

Back to Services

The dental discipline of endodontics deals with disease of the nerves and soft tissue of the interior of a tooth. The most common endodontic treatment is the root canal, a procedure used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or has become infected. During a root canal the pulp and root are removed and the tooth is cleaned and sealed. A root canal effectively removes the infection while allowing the tooth to maintain it natural strength.

If left untreated the infection is the tooth can lead to an abscess and the infection can spread throughout your mouth, face and neck.

Dr. Sisson uses the technology of the Rotary File System to complete root canals easily and faster then with hand reamers and filers. The Rotary File System gives allows Dr. Sisson more control allowing him to perform extremely precise treatment. For the patient this means a root canal that takes less time, is more comfortable and more precise.
