Meet the Team
Meet Dr. James A. Sisson
Dr. Sisson attended Indiana University where he graduated with a BA in chemistry. He then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. After graduating Dr. Sisson worked as a general and emergency dentist before opening his private dental practice in Pendleton in 2005.
Dr. Sisson is an American Heart Association CPR instructor for Indiana University School of Dentistry, teaching Health-Care Provider CPR and First Aid.
He is a member of good standing with the American Dental Association and East Central Dental Society.
Dr. Sisson is a strong supporter of the community and enjoys giving back to the Pendleton area. He is an American Red Cross Volunteer and has been rewarded the five year volunteer recognition. Dr. Sisson is also a fan and supporter of local sports teams.
Dr. Sisson and his wife Ambre have three children, Tyler, Elayna and Cayden.
Kelly F. – Front Office
Kelly is a graduate of Aristotle Dental College with a Dental Assisting and IUPI with expanded duties degree. She is also certified in Dental Radiology and CPR.
Kelly has been part of our practice for two years and is available to assist our patients with scheduling appointments, insurance claims and financial arrangements.
She enjoys working with patients and being part of a team that is able to make a positive difference in our patients live.
Kelly and her husband are life-long residents of the Pendleton area. They have one son.
Regina (Jeanie) L. – Licensed Dental Hygienist
Jeanie attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where she has received a degree in Dental Assisting and then Dental Hygiene. She has worked as both a dental assistant and dental hygienist before joining our practice five years ago.
As a dental hygienist Jeanie provides oral hygiene care and education, including gum disease treatment and prevention.
Our patients appreciate how thorough but gentle Jeanie is and especially how caring she is. Jeanie enjoys making positive difference that effects our patients overall health.
Jeanie and her husband have two daughters and three grandchildren.
Kelly J. – Licensed Dental Hygienist
Kelly graduated from Professional Careers Institute for Dental Assisting and worked as a Dental Assistant for nine years. She then received her Dental Hygiene Associates Degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. As one of our hygienist Kelly performs routine cleanings for our patients as well as provides oral health education. Kelly also performs routine periodontal (gum) checks and provides treatment when needed.
Kelly enjoys working with the patients and having the opportunity to provide education that will lead them on the path to improved oral health.
Kelly and her husband have one daughter and one son.
Joanie F. – Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Joanie attended Ball State University and then Illinois School of Dentistry where she graduated from the Dental Assisting program. As an expanded duty assistant Joanie places fillings and assist Dr. Sisson with dental implant placements and various other procedures.
Joanie enjoys working with patients and strives to make sure they are comfortable and happy during procedures. She is a life-long resident of Pendleton. She and her husband have two children.
Gwyn B. – Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Gwyn graduated from Ralph Eder Dental Assisting Program and has her x-ray and CPR certification. She assist Dr. Sission with all dental procedures, helping them run smoothly and making sure patients are comfortable. Gwyn also placing fillings, takes impressions and x-rays for our patients. She performs the sterilization processes for the office, helping to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Gwyn loves to be part of the process that allows our patients to have the beautiful smiles they desire.
Gwyn is a life-long resident of New Castle. She and her husband have two beautiful children.
